Scabies

What it is

Scabies is caused by a mite called Sarcoptes scabei.

Like pubic lice, scabies may be passed on through close body contact, not necessarily sexual.

Symptoms

Symptoms include widespread, severe itching.

How it is treated

Treatment is with a special lotion.
