Brook took part in the National Federation of Young Farmer’s Annual Convention (Friday 2 to Sunday 4 May 2008) offering sexual health advice and giving out free condoms to young people.
Brook had a stand during registration on Friday and Saturday as well as during the two dances on Friday and Saturday night with outreach workers on hand to speak to young people. The stand included:
Brook also conducted a short quantitative survey to gather information for developing sexual health services for young people.
Rachael Wyartt, Project Lead for Brook, said: “The National Federation of Young Farmer’s Annual Convention was a great opportunity for Brook to go to where young people are to raise sexual health awareness and engage with young people through the use of quizzes, games and promotional materials.
“We had a fantastic response at the convention and would be keen to take part in next year’s event.”
