What if I'm under 16?
If you are under 16, you can still have a free and confidential abortion as long as a doctor believes that you have enough understanding of the decision you are making.
Although that means you would not have to tell your parents, you probably will be encouraged to talk to them or another adult (maybe another family member, or a specialist youth worker) to make sure you have enough support.
At Brook Centres, we are used to seeing young people under 16 and we can provide all the confidential help you need. To find your nearest Brook centre, call Ask Brook on 0808 802 1234.
