Relationships
Relationships can be full of fun, romance, excitement and intense feelings, but they can also be confusing, painful and infuriating too.
It’s pretty rare for people to meet someone for the first time, go out with them, marry them and live happily ever after. Everyone is different and relationships often develop over a long time, as two people get to know each other.
It usually takes a bit of practice with different people to find out who you are compatible with, what you want and what works. It is really normal for relationships to go a bit wrong or not work out particularly when you are young and still learning about who you are, what you like and how to be in a relationship. That doesn’t make you a failure and there’s always a lot to learn from every relationship.
It’s hard to find someone who matches your habits, aims, dreams and desires so closely that the two of you want to spend your entire lives together. So, it’s fine to go out with all sorts of people and learn what you do and don't like.
It’s also fine not to be in a relationship at all until you feel completely ready.
Lots of young people (and adults) are single. So, there’s no need to stress if you’re not in a relationship. It’s just as important to spend time finding out about yourself and doing the things you like to do.
