Payroll giving

Each month, you can contribute to Brook’s vision to help young people have access to great sexual health services and wellbeing support – straight out of your pay cheque.

Your donation will be made before Income Tax is deducted from your monthly salary – this makes Payroll Giving the most efficient way to give.

For example

If you sign up to a £10 a month donation, it will only cost you £8 and Brook can claim back the £2 at no cost to you.

There is more information about this on the HMRC website

How do I setup Payroll Giving?

To setup Payroll Giving all you need to do is complete this form online

This is then forwarded to your employer, hopefully they are one of the growing number of companies who operate a Payroll Giving scheme. If they do operate the scheme, then your donation will be taken from your next pay cheque. This is all you need to do to sign up, it is that simple.

If your organisation does not have a Payroll Giving scheme at the moment, why not suggest they start one?

Am I eligible?

You are eligible if your employer deducts tax from your pay through the PAYE system.

You are also eligible if you receive an occupational pension – simply contact your pension provider who will follow the same process as above.

Is there an administration fee?

Yes, but you do not have to pay it on top of your donation.

Your company’s scheme will be operated by a Payroll Giving Agency, most charge a small fee of about 2- 4%. This is to cover their costs of processing your donation. Some employers choose to cover this cost themselves so Brook would receive the full amount of your donation.
