Brook shortlisted for two Charity Times awards

Brook is delighted to be shortlisted for two Charity Times awards, as one of three nominees for the HR Management Award and one of two for the Financial Management Award.

The awards ceremony will take place on 7 October at the Park Plaza Hotel, in London.

Brook’s People and Organisational Development and Finance teams are based in Liverpool, and work closely with corporate partners including accountancy firm Saffery Champness and financial software provider bluQube.

Lynette Barlow, Brook’s Head of Finance and Audit said:

“To be shortlisted for two such high profile awards is fantastic news, and it’s great that Brook’s Corporate Services department is getting recognition for our work.

“Over the last couple of years, we have faced a huge task – consolidating 17 separate charities, with 17 different finance and IT systems, into one Brook. It’s been complicated and it’s still not quite finished, but we’ve made huge progress, and we’re seeing our efforts paying off, which is really satisfying.”

Julian Sayer - Sales and Operations Director at bluQube commented:

"I was delighted to hear about Brook's two award nominations. Utilising modern cloud technology and devolved processes has completely streamlined the way Brook 'does finance' and it's fantastic to see their forward thinking approach and hard work get the industry recognition it deserves."

Cara Turtington, Partner in the Not-for-Profit group at Saffery Champness said:

"It's great to see the Finance Team at Brook receive recognition for all of their hard work. For us we enjoy working with a client that is committed to providing such a vital service to their beneficiaries and also are so keen to achieve excellence in their internal processes and procedures. Brook is a true learning organisation, always looking to improve."
