Donate to Brook

For 60 years, Brook has been leading the fight for safe, confidential and accessible healthcare.

We’ve changed lives, changed laws and contributed to a fairer and more open society. But we’re not ready to celebrate until everyone feels safe and trusted to make decisions about their health, their bodies and their identities.

In our 60th year we need your help.

Help us fight stigma

This year, millions of people in the UK will experience attacks on their sexual and reproductive rights; attacks that are shaped by, and reinforce, stigma. They might include:

  • The 90% of girls who say they are regularly being sent unwanted, explicit pictures or videos at school
  • LGBT+ young people who can’t be themselves at school, and whose mental health is in crisis as a result
  • People who want an abortion but who are fearful of being criminalised or judged as a result

60 years ago, our pioneering Founder Helen Brook, refused to let stigma stand in her way. We’re proud to follow in her footsteps, challenging new attacks to sexual and reproductive rights and fearlessly shouting about issues others may consider too risky or taboo.

As part of celebrating 60 years of Brook, we are asking our supporters if they can pledge £60 for 60 years. Can you help us continue our trailblazing work?

Opening quotation marks

I can safely say my life would be entirely different without Brook.

Cassie’s friend was assaulted at a party and they both feared judgement when seeking help at a Brook clinic. Their school had made them feel that using contraception or getting tested for pregnancy or STIs made you “less than”.

“I went with her and the nurse was so incredibly kind to her that even I got emotional during our time there.

Your donation will help fight stigma, ensuring people like Cassie and her friend don’t fear getting the help they need.
