Yuno Service User Advisory Group

Commitment: 12-month voluntary role with four meetings over the year (mix of online and in-person).
Location:
You must have used the Yuno service and live in Bristol, North Somerset or South Gloucestershire.

Yuno is looking for people who have used the Yuno service in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire, to get involved in our new Service User Advisory Groups.

Being part of an advisory group means having the opportunity to get involved in decisions that could affect you and others who use the Yuno service.

You will be helping to make sure our work is the best it can be for people in your local area, whilst playing a key role in your own development by increasing your knowledge and skills. This is a 12-month voluntary role.

  • Attend meetings with other group members 4 times a year (mix of face-to-face and digital).
  • Collaborate on campaigns to raise awareness about issues that people across the local area think are important.
  • Organise, attend, and represent Brook at events.
  • Support our research; for example, create, complete, and promote surveys to help us improve what we do.
  • Share/create digital content through social media channels.
  • Be involved in group discussions to help make our services better.
  • Provide feedback about our resources for Yuno.
  • Provide us with your thoughts about how new services should look.
  • Specific training around relationships, the digital world, sexual health & wellbeing.
  • Have fun and meet new people.
  • Build your skills; for example, public speaking, vlogging/blogging, writing content, supporting research, and event planning.
  • Opportunities to influence local services and have your voice heard.
  • The chance to attend fun events and network.
  • Rewards such as certificates, work experience, and vouchers.
  • Renumeration for travel.
  • Good experience for your CV.

You don’t need any experience or qualifications to take part – we want to hear your opinion. We’re looking for people that:

  • Feel passionate about issues related to relationships & sexual health and be eager to support Yuno to deliver clear sex-positive messages locally and across the areas of BNSSG.
  • Be committed to attending meetings with other group members 4 times a year on dates arranged by the team (dates given in advance).
  • Be open minded, and respect others involved with the group.
  • Be committed to the aims, values, and purposes of Yuno’s work.
  • Be reliable and punctual.
  • Be able to take part in a team.
  • Be able to complete some written or verbal tasks.
  • Be a good communicator; stay in touch with the Yuno Advisory Group Lead.
