Brook Bristol has been commissioned to offer free Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) Accessing Sexual Health Services assemblies to young people, and free professionals training through Unity Sexual Health. We are also able to deliver RSE sessions and workshops on a large range of topics.
The programme aims to enhance delivery of statutory RSE, in line with DfE guidance and will equip teachers and school staff, across primary and secondary schools, to implement a whole school approach, give individuals the skills/confidence to deliver an RSE programme that is fit for purpose and respond to the needs of young people.

Through Unity Sexual Health we provide a number of free training sessions to help professionals in Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset deliver safe and effective RSE.
Topics include:
We are also able to provide a range of other training sessions for professionals online or in person.
Brook is commissioned by Unity Sexual Health to provide the My Life One-to One programme for young people who need additional support with relationships and sexual health in Bristol and South Gloucestershire.
Important
Due to a recent high volume of 1-1 referrals, and therefore an increasing number of young people being placed on our waiting list, we are temporarily closing our Brook 1-1 referral pathway to all new referrals. We will review the numbers in January 2025, and make a decision regarding reopening the referral form then.
Please rest assured that any young person who has already had their referral accepted is on the waiting list, and we will be in contact with you to arrange the sessions in due course. We thank you for your patience at this time.
Suitable for years 9-13, our free assembly covers how and why a young person would need to access sexual health services, a short refresher on contraception and STIs, along with signposting to local services.
We are able to offer this assembly once a year to each year group in Bristol and South Gloucestershire schools and colleges, as well as other local youth organisations.
Brook provides participative, informative and engaging sessions in schools and other settings aimed at facilitating evidence-based discussions around sex, sexuality and relationships.
These sessions increase young people’s knowledge and provide them with the vocabulary and skills to communicate with their peers, parents and professionals.
