Teesside C-Card service

Free condoms for young people aged 13-24 living and studying in South Tees, Hartlepool and Stockton-on-Tees.

Service changing from April 1st

From April 1st 2026, the C-Card scheme will change and Brook will no longer be the provider. From April, you won’t have to have a C-Card in order to get free condoms in Teesside, you can simply turn up at participating locations. The new free condom scheme will be for anyone aged 13+ living in Teesside.

Until then you can continue to use your C-Card to get free condoms.

How does the C-Card work?

To be able to use the condom distribution service, you will first need to register for a C-Card.

If you are aged 16 or over, you can register online. If you are under 16, or prefer not to use online registration, you can register at a C-Card outlet. You can view a map of the outlets online.

Once registered, you will be able to collect free condoms from a number of outlets across South Tees and Hartlepool including pharmacies, shops and public services. Outlets will let you know they are part of the scheme by displaying the C-Card logo in their window.
