Brook Cornwall operates a free and confidential service for people of all ages in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, offering STI testing and treatment, contraception (including long-acting and emergency), pregnancy testing, and specialist young people’s services.

The C-Card scheme lets you access free condoms, internal condoms (femidoms) and lube from a number of outlets, and also by post. It is free for anyone aged 13-24 living in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

Brook Cornwall provides free and confidential sexual health services for people of all ages.

Brook Cornwall offers various online services in partnership with SH:24. For in person services, contact your local Brook Cornwall clinic to make an appointment.
Brook Cornwall offers free screening for chlamydia, gonorrhoea, syphilis and HIV, and provides free treatment for people of all ages.
Residents aged 16 or over in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly can also now order a free postal STI test from SH:24, which can test for chlamydia, gonorrhoea, HIV and syphilis.
Brook recommends testing two weeks after unprotected sex (sex without a condom) to ensure an accurate result. For HIV testing, you need to wait 6 weeks to take a test in order to get the most accurate result.
These postal test kits are for people who have no symptoms (are asymptomatic). If you have any symptoms, please contact Brook Cornwall on 0300 30 30 714 or see if you can book an appointment online to speak to one of the team.
If you are diagnosed with an STI, Brook Cornwall will contact you to arrange free treatment.
If you think you might have genital warts or genital herpes, we can offer online diagnosis and treatment by post, without you needing to visit a clinic. The service is provided by SH:24, and uses photo diagnosis.
If you are aged 16 or over and live in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, you can order the pill online from SH:24 for free and receive it directly to your home or another location of your choice.
If you are aged 16 or over and live in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, you can order the emergency hormonal contraception (the “morning after pill”) online from SH:24 and receive it directly to your home or another location of your choice.

To be able to use the C-Card service, you will first need to register for a C-Card.
Anyone aged 13-24 can register for the C-Card scheme, either at your local participating outlet or by phone consultation (if you want to register for the free postal service). If you are 16 or over, you can also register online.
The Brook Cornwall Education Wellbeing Team is responsible for relationship and sex education to young people, training of professionals and 1:1 targeted support.
