If you’re 16 or over and live in Cornwall or the Isles of Scilly, you can order a free postal STI test kit from SH:24. This is the quickest and easiest way to test for Chlamydia, gonorrhoea, HIV and syphilis.
Important
These postal test kits are for people who have no symptoms (are asymptomatic). If you have any symptoms, please contact Brook Cornwall on 0300 30 30 714
Brook recommends testing two weeks after unprotected sex (sex without a condom) to ensure an accurate result. For HIV testing, you need to wait 6 weeks to take a test in order to get the most accurate result.
You can also come to clinic to get tested and if you are diagnosed with an STI, Brook Cornwall will contact you to arrange free treatment.
If you think you might have genital warts or genital herpes, we can offer online diagnosis and treatment by post, without you needing to visit a clinic. The service is provided by SH:24, and uses photo diagnosis.
If you are aged 16 or over and live in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, you can order the pill online from SH:24 for free and receive it directly to your home or another location of your choice.
If you are aged 16 or over and live in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, you can order the emergency hormonal contraception (the “morning after pill”) online from SH:24 and receive it directly to your home or another location of your choice.
