Closing you My Brook Account

We are making some changes to our online services and will be closing the My Brook platform in January 2025.

What does this mean for me?

You won’t be able to use MyBrook anymore to access online services from Brook.

Your MyBrook account will automatically be closed by the 31st January. Don’t worry, essential information that you have provided or accessed through MyBrook (for example, test results or contraception requests) will still be available by contacting your local Brook service.

How to close you My Brook account

You may wish to delete your MyBrook account, in which case we recommend that you take the following steps:

  1. Log into your My Brook account.
  2. Click the profile icon in the top right corner. This will display a drop-down menu with three options. Select “Account” and then “Deleting my account”.
  3. Scroll down and click the purple button at the bottom of the page that says “Delete my account”.
  4. A window will appear asking if you are sure. Select “Yes, delete my account”.
  5. After completing this, your account will be deleted, and you will be taken to the My Brook log-in page.

If you have test results in your account, you can take a screenshot of these before you delete your account.

Alternatively, if you need to access test results after your account is deleted, you can contact your local Brook service and our friendly team will help you.

If you don’t delete your account, it will be deleted automatically by the 31st January.

What if I am waiting for results or contraception?

If you have recently completed an STI test and are waiting for the results, you will still be contacted by text message. If you require treatment, your local Brook team will be in touch to help you access it.

If you have submitted a request for contraception, this will be processed by your local Brook team, and they will contact you to let you know they have posted it or to invite you for an appointment.

What will happen to my health data when My Brook closes?

If we have provided you with testing, contraception or treatment via My Brook, we will retain necessary data relating to your care in line with the NHS Records Management Code of Practice.

You can find more information about how we collect, store and use your data in our privacy notice: https://www.brook.org.uk/privacy-and-confidentiality/

If you have any questions about the use of your data you can contact Brook’s Data Protection Officer at dataprotection@brook.org.uk or you can write to them at Data Protection Officer, Brook, PO Box 78732, London EC2P 2TA.

Will you still offer online sexual health services?

Yes. We have launched a new service in partnership with SH:24. You can now request STI testing through SH:24 from our website. More information about other online services is available on the local service webpages:

There have not been changes to our in-person services. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you need help. You can find information about your local Brook service and other services near you here: https://www.brook.org.uk/find-a-service/
