The C-Card scheme allows you to pick up free condoms from local outlets like pharmacies, youth services and shops. See if you can join C-Card in your area to access free condoms and lube.

Condoms protect against unwanted pregnancy by stopping the sperm contained in semen coming into contact with the vagina (which could lead to an egg being fertilised). They are also the only method of contraception that provides protection against sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

C-Card is a condom distribution scheme which provides access to free condoms and lube from local outlets. It runs in various locations across the UK (sometimes age criteria apply).

Once you’ve registered with your local C-Card scheme, you will be able to collect free condoms from a number of outlets, including pharmacies, shops and public services. Outlets will let you know they are part of the scheme by displaying the C-Card logo in their window.

What is C-Card doesn’t run in my area?

If C-Card isn’t active in your area, you can always visit your local sexual health service, such as a sexual health clinic, to access free condoms.
You can also buy condoms at most shops and pharmacies, as well as online.
