At Brook, we pride ourselves on responding to the changing landscape in which young people operate both online and offline. We have developed new resources to counter harmful messaging to which young people may be exposed and supported teachers to navigate complex and challenging topics.
We expanded our reach in alternative education/non-mainstream settings reaching 6,748 young people in 24/25.

We have strengthened our presence in Wales to support all young people aged 11+ to receive comprehensive, age-appropriate education on pornography, misogyny and gender stereotypes as well as offering free training for teachers and professionals who work with young people. This builds on our Period Dignity project that helped address period stigma in more than 100 schools across Anglesey, Cardiff, Caerphilly and Ceredigion.
Brook and Lil-Lets have been working together for over five years, collaborating on a range of initiatives to improve period education. In 24/25, we delivered our third Big Period Lesson focusing on how both exercise and rest can improve period wellbeing, reaching over 66,000 young people and teachers.
Brook Learn, our online learning platform, is designed for educators and professionals to deliver high-quality, inclusive RSE and keep young people safe. More than 42,905 registered users accessed our 16 comprehensive courses covering topics such as consent, contraception, abortion and gender diversity.
In 2024/25, we launched Healthy Relationships, providing clear, relevant guidance for teachers to support students to recognise and respond to harmful behaviours in relationships.
This course was extremely informative and covered many topics which are helpful and up to date with recent dating trends and patterns which was also really insightful.

As pressures on public health services escalate, Brook’s role in safeguarding children, young people and adults at risk of harm has never been more crucial.
In 24/25, mental health-related safeguarding concerns remained the most prevalent in our services, accounting for 40% of all cases.
We continue to seek out opportunities to share our learnings, insights and expertise with other organisations that share our commitment to safeguarding.
For Safeguarding Adults Week 2024, we hosted a webinar bringing together a panel of experts to discuss the importance of professional curiosity when it comes to keeping people safe.
