Where can I get free condoms?

Condoms are the only method of contraception that also protect against STIs.

If you are aged 13-25, you can get free condoms through the C-Card scheme in Newcastle. To get free condoms, you’ll need to sign up to the C-Card scheme at one of the locations. When you sign up, they will ask you a few questions before giving you your C-Card.

With your C-Card, you can access free condoms from any locations that are part of the scheme across Newcastle. You can come to any of our drop-in sessions to get free condoms.

Other methods of contraception

Condoms are the only method of contraception that also protect against STIs, but there are other methods that protect against pregnancy that can also help with issues such as heavy or painful periods and low mood.

Where can I get other methods?

You can get contraceptive pills (combined pill and “mini” pill) from pharmacies in Newcastle without needing to book an appointment.

You can get free contraception (including contraceptive pills, implants, and coils) through Newcastle Sexual Health. They have a Youth Clinic for young people aged 13-17 on Wednesdays 3:30pm-5:30pm at their Summerhill Clinic.
