Brook has been commissioned to provide assemblies, professionals training and the MyLife Programme in Hillingdon. Find out more and how to contact us.

Training for professionals

Online (or in person if requested) |3.5 hours | Free

We offer training for professionals who work with young people on a variety of topics. The availability of these training sessions varies but common training session topics include:

What topics do you cover?

Learn to identify, understand and respond appropriately to sexual behaviours in young people.

Learn how to discuss and challenge viral trends, using them to communicate essential messaging about consent, sexual health and body image, alongside exploring how to keep young people safe online and how to improve young people’s self-awareness about the influence of social media and pornography on their opinions and beliefs.

This is essential training for anyone looking to improve confidence in reacting to sexual assault disclosures, better understand the importance of consent education in mitigating sexual violence and learn how to embed this teaching as part of a spiral curriculum.

This training provides professionals who work in the community with the skills to have practical and inclusive conversations about sexual health to support young people. By the end of the training, you will have a better understanding of sexual health policy and confidentiality guidelines. You will also take away technical knowledge, while being able to advise young people and signpost them to the correct agencies.

MyLife Programme

The My Life One-to-One programme is available for young people who need additional support in Hillingdon and Hounslow.

MyLife is an early-help health and wellbeing programme that aims to build individual’s self-confidence, motivation and skills and empower them to improve their own health and wellbeing.

The work requested must be for education purposes only as this is not a counselling service.

RSE workshops

We also run RSE workshops in Brent, Harrow and Ealing for groups of young people.

There are limited numbers of these available. This means that we prioritise those that work with traditionally marginalised and excluded groups.

If we don’t have the capacity to support you, Brook does offer RSE lessons across the UK on a broad range of topics. Button: More about Brook’s RSE lessons
