Brook is commissioned to deliver outreach, education and training for free or reduced cost in a number of locations across the UK.
Whether you’re developing a new healthy relationships curriculum or enhancing your existing PSHE programme, all our lessons can be delivered by Brook, with selected lesson plans also available to purchase for use in the classroom.
Lesson Bundle – Respectful Relationships
Lessons for Years 7-11 supporting pupils to develop healthy, respectful and positive relationships, beginning with friendships and building towards a mature understanding of healthy intimate and sexual relationships.
Year 4 – What Makes a Good Friend
This lesson delivered by Brook supports students to form and maintain healthy friendships. They will learn how to manage conflict, understand change and loneliness, identify the qualities of a good friend, and learn how to get support.
Year 7 – Positive Friendships
A Year 7 lesson exploring what makes friendships positive and healthy, and that builds skills for recognising and responding to unhealthy behaviour.
Year 8 – Everyday Healthy Relationships
A Year 8 lesson to recognise the qualities and behaviours that make relationships healthy or unhealthy, across friendships, family and early romantic relationships, and to know what to do if something feels wrong.
Year 9 – Developing Healthy Relationships
A Year 9 lesson to recognise the characteristics of healthy relationships and identify behaviours that indicate an unhealthy or abusive relationship.
Year 10 – Dating and Relationship Expectations
A Year 10 lesson to support pupils to explore factors that shape relationship values and expectations, develop skills to challenge harmful gender stereotypes, and recognise the characteristics of healthy relationships.
Year 11 – Relationships and Equality
A Year 11 lesson to explore different types of adult relationships, understand the legal rights and protections that apply to them, and to be able to recognise healthy relationships and identify domestic abuse.
Year 12/13 – Relationship Values, Equality, & Intimacy
This Brook-delivered lesson supports students to evaluate values around relationships and understand the importance of pleasure in intimate relationships.
Year 12/13 – Relationship Abuse
This Brook-delivered lesson deepens students’ understanding of relationship abuse, how to identify it and how to access support.
