What if I live outside Dudley?
If you have symptoms of an STI, it’s best to come to a walk-in clinic or phone us on 01384 881830
Don’t panic, most infections are easily treated, and getting tested is free and confidential.
If you have tested positive for Chlamydia through a test with Brook, it is possible to request treatment online without having to come to clinic. Log in to your My Brook account and you should see the option to request chlamydia treatment. Or, if you would rather talk to someone, you can book an appointment by ringing the clinic or walk-in during walk-in hours.
You will get a text message from Brook about your results within around 4 days of us receiving your test.
If you’ve already got a My Brook account, you can also see your results through your account when we get them. You might be invited to create an account so you can see your results.
Usually results come through within a few days but if you haven’t received your results and you sent them over 10 days ago, ring the clinic and we can look into it.
Through our online test kits you can test for:
If you’d like to test for anything else, this would need to be carried out in clinic.
If you’ve had sex without a condom, it’s best to wait 6-7 weeks if you don’t have symptoms before you test. This is because it can take two weeks for chlamydia and gonorrhoea to show up on tests and 6-7 weeks for HIV. If you test before then, the test may not pick up on any STIs that you could have.
If you do test positive for an STI, it’s always best to let your sexual partner(s) know so they can also get tested. We can support you to do this anonymously.
If your local council is not Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council, you cannot order a test kit through Brook.
