Brook has been commissioned by Leicestershire County Council to deliver a tiered RSHE support programme for primary and secondary schools in Leicestershire.

This localised, tailored and free support programme aims to enhance delivery of statutory RSHE, in line with DfE guidance and will equip Leicestershire’s teachers and school staff, across primary and secondary schools, to implement a whole school approach, give individuals the skills/confidence to deliver an RSHE programme that is fit for purpose and respond to the needs of Leicestershire’s YP’s lived experiences.

RSHE Open Access Webinars

We deliver Webinars, aimed at RSHE Leads and classroom teachers with overarching themes of how to deliver effective RSHE, how to implement a whole school approach and how to build a spiral curriculum.

Delivered by a Brook Education Specialist, each webinar lasts approx. 60 minutes, is delivered live via Brook’s digital platform and includes interactive chat functions, polls, further needs analysis opportunities and safeguarding/signposting information.

Professional Training Sessions

We deliver a diverse range of professional training sessions via Brook Learn Live. All sessions are interactive, providing space for breakout sessions, facilitated group discussion and opportunities to practice new approaches. Each session lasts for 3.5 hours and covers key topics, knowledge and strategies for effective RSHE delivery.

Live Teacher Q&A Sessions

We facilitate an interactive series of live sessions to support the roll out of RSHE in schools, offering expert advice to real-time challenges. Every session promotes Brook’s professional ethos of providing a safe space where there are no ‘stupid questions’ and provides opportunities for Brook Specialists to support teachers to explore complex issues, worries and fears around teaching RSHE. These sessions provide an opportunity for inter-school collaboration, networking and the sharing best practice.

There are also a number of paid training courses available for professionals working with young people in Leicestershire.
